It say's eurovox max v on the front of the box but there is a slot for a hardrive but it looks like it's a diy job because the slot has been cut out and is a bit jagged, I've tried both firmwares and still getting same message.

A wee bit of progress here guy's..managed to upload and download cdf's from box, so now have contact between pc and box , but system reset comes up after I hit download and then still getting the firmware is not fit for this receiver after that? any ideas from the photos what box this is.

Try putting this on it, its obviously a dodgy box as it has a max v front and the internals of a PVR.

I think your right HiTeck...just getting the same message, I think my m8 has been well conned, although god knows how the seller got an image on it, I think it is made up of old bits of eurovox , only fit for the bin now.

I think I've goosed it now , put on the Eurovox 2 UK AU Fix 291108 (1.59 MB)and it whent through the downloading and right at the end came up download failed, and now I cant get anything on screen and at the front of the box the lights just keep looping round in a circle. ohh ~~~~.
