Its possible as long as the recorder has a scart socket or s-video inputs , i've got a unimade dvd hdd which has several inputs and it records perfectly off my eurovox!

          Recording from EX7000HD

That?s a coincidence I have just emailed Tvonics asking the same question.
I purchased a Tvonic dvr-fp 250gig digital recorder earlier last year from Aldi. It has two scart connections and aerial in and out etc. I dare not connect it to cablebox just in case I blow it. :-} Should get an answer soon! I will let you know.
Although it does not have usb, to fit my EX7000HD.
If you don't ask, you don't get.

              Thank you for your enquiry

Unfortunately our DVR units are only programmed to record freeview.

So guys if I purchase a IDE 320GB internal h/drive, would I require a fitting kit or should it slide into place, also do we know if the box is already programmed to accept and go?

mmm i'm thinking if you connect the loop from the eurovox to the rf in on the dvr and tune the dvr to the eurovox (the dvr will tune into a few channels but you need to find the channel that switches over when you switch over the eurovox) would that then allow you to record onto the pvr.

Thanks Bazz . but I think I should start a thread of my own as this belongs JollyRoger. and it may save a few problems if I purchase and fit a h/drive.

The rf loop out from the eurovox is a cable feed so check what type of tuner the DVR has. I suspect it will be a DVB-T which will only receive channels through the aerial.

If your eurovox has an has a "normal" aerial input / output to the TV, then that is what you could connect into the DVR and tune in.

I forgot to add that not all eurovoxes can do this, with the MaxV you can, but you can't with the ex7000 HD. Just have a look at the back and see what possibilities you have.

And have you actually tried to connect it by SCART and found that it doesn't work, or are you assuming? In my experience you can do what you want with SCARTs

                          Recording

I have connected EX7000 via my freeview recorder to Tv using scart leads and hdmi cables. I find that I can record programs from cable via AV2 _AUX
