EX7000 HD Losing Channel Signals

Hi

I have just purchased the new EX7000 HD box, I have attached my new 500GB external hard drive which I had to convert to FAT32 in order for it to work. When I try and record to the H/D it works ok. I then switch the box off, go about my business, come back to turn the box on again and it has lost all the channel signals???? The only way I can get it back on is to switch the box off and then on again, and allow it to reboot??? Is this something to do with my external hard drive? Do i need to format it using the box? Could it be a firmware issue? Help please as its really frustrating.

Big drive running off your USB, have you tried to partition it and see what the outcome is?
