Eurovox ex7000 1080i or 1080p

Hi i am new to these cable boxes so you will have to bare with me i have been looking at getting a eurovox ex7000 and i am wondering will it display 1080i or 1080p if i plug it in to my Toshiba Regza RV Series 37" 37RV555D HD 1080p lcd tv this has 100hz and it says on the web site it upscales standard tv so does that mean it will up scale to 1080p or will it even use 720p any advice would be appreciated thanks

As far as I am aware the eurovox 7000 will only display in 1080i. (same as a s*y box)
You only get the full 1080p through your TV by using a Blue Ray or HD DVD player.

I have a s*y HD box that displays 1080i through a HD cable and the picture is excelent. I have not seen a 720p display so i cant comment.

also how many hd channels do u get with this box also what other channels would i get is it just the ones i get now with my standard box but in higher quality

Only one HD channel on cable mate BBC HD. maybe more oneday...

god is that it and they want 99 pound for the v+ box checky buggers so do u think it would be worth getting a ex7000 or a cheaper model as my tv says it upscales anyway

In a lot of cases, 720p looks better than 1080i... Try both and see what you prefer.

TBH the SD channels look the same as on other Eurovox models. So as said for one HD channel at the moment you decide.

Subbed box yes, these boxes no as they have no talkback.

sorry i am really new is subbed the original box and do i need to split the feed coming in or just swap boxes as and when i need

Sorry yes subbed is the original box. And also yes when it comes to a splitter it is recommended to use one. Not only to keep the original box online and updated but you pay subs for it so why not get some use out of it

thanks for such a quick replie u guys are really hrlp full. the feed that comes in has been split in two for my broardband because the box would not allow 10meg and needed a modem would i be able 2 take the 2 way spliter off an have a 3 way spliter for original box eurovox box and modem would this work and if so what order does it matter ?

Yes you can use a three way splitter if you like. The order doesnt matter, just use a good quality splitter, RF twist on connectors and good quality coax.
