Problems downloading firmware

Hi. When trying to download the firmware for ex1000sl, after selecting download to the correct COMM-Port nothing at all happens. It doesnt even start to download and just says "waiting for signal from reciever". Was wondering if anybosy has experienced anything like this

I have read through the setting up guide which is very helpfull and I am following the correct procedures.

Do you have the correct null modem cable?

Yes mate. With an adaptor plugged into my usb port. But absolutetly no joy in received a signal. It doesnt even attempt to start downloading.

Did you have a good look through the guides as you said? After you press download unplug the box and then plug it back in.
