    Picture problems

I can be watching any channel with a good picture then for about 2 or three minutes the picture then starts to break up and the message on screen says no signal then after a couple of minutes the picture settles down and is then ok really annoying, I have tried changing the scart leads and i have put a new connection on the end of the cable but still no joy. Has anyone got any ideas please, before i throw the remote. cheers.

But if it was overheating then wouldn't the picture break up all the time, but i can go couple of hours the then picture will break up then once it's sorted it's self the picture is fine. do you think a booster would help ?

Daft question but could i be getting interference from my wireless router or from the sky box (which finishes in two days time), as both items are on the shelf above the eurovox box

You shouldn't m8, i think it sounds like maybe a signal problem.

A booster or attenuator may help depending on your signal strength.

Before you try anything i would reset to factory default, flash again and then scan for channels and see how it goes.

got the same problem i got some of the channels working normally by using an attenuator -

apparently virgin has been boosting its signal to prepare for the 50mb broadband which is affecting the eurovox - signal is too strong

Press info twice check what frequency it is the go and manually edit the frequency ie change 282.000 to 282.750 and save see if that helps

you need to post your signal readings before buying any sort of signal boosters or even Attentuators mate

Secondly if you have multiple boxes connected to the same line then that could cause a BER issue and also if you have dodgy cables or loose connectors and Splitters.

If you have splitter on the line then I would highly suggest you remove it and try via a direct feed.

These boxes are signal hungry so its most likely a signal issue but cant tell until you have posted the necessary info first.
