Hi i'm new to all this and I'm currently looking at buying a Eurovox EX5100 PVR it says it comes with Free to Air software loaded so it will work directly out of the box, what does this mean? I've been looking at lots of the comments on here about codes and how to flash a eurovox, will I need to do all this before it will work?

you will need to flash it if you want it to be able to descramble the scrambled channels -
hi im a newbie to, just got my first eurovox 5100 pvr.
and its great, does exactly what it says on the tin/box.
i would appreciate any and all help on how to update firmware, and any other info for this product, have got manufacturers guide/setup book, but im sure that there is someone far smarter than me with experience of these bits of kit.

I have just switched on 5100 on for the first time, is it normal to get 0000, or the time when on standby?

also should take u straight 2 installation screen coz if u fink about it there is no channels on it yet till ya scan itComment

Seriously? Flash then scan. Read the threads, they are separate instructions, as per the links one is for the cables needed, other is for the firmware you need per box, next one is flashing guide and the last is how to scan.Comment

I cant get my "ahem" scrambelled channels since May. If I do the recomended flash and scan should I get the 'scrambelled channels back?

hi - Im running January 09 software on my ex5100. Is this the latest software available?. I have just reflashed and have picked up ESPN America but still cant get BBC 3 etc back up. Anyone have any ideas??Comment
