does that mean i can connect my sky digital airial behind the eurovox hd 7000 what will that do unlock sat channels to? can you help me what this function is for?

no harry mate. NOTHING will unlock sat channels except a valid subscription to sky or c/s
certainly a cable box wont.
the loop out is simply so you can connect up two receivers with one input cable
