Are you trying to change your PC HD to FAT2 and use inside the Eurovox or re-format the Eurovox HD?

For that type of stuff i usually use Partition Magic but not sure to be honest sorry, as i'm still lowly XP...

yeah you can't just cpnvert file systems, you need to reformat - see my above post, swissknife, freeware can be found at download.com. For Vista you need to run it in compatability mode for Windows XP.

By FAT2 I assume you mean FAT32, which is what the ex7000 needs

The problem is in the size of the hdd. fat32 only workls for drives under 32gb in size, you can use tools in windows to partition the drive into say, 10 partitions of 25gb each.

First off, delete the partition that you wish to convert. This is done by going into Disk Management: right click "My Computer" -> Manage -> Disk Management, which is found under the Storage section. Right click the partition you wish to remove, and click "Delete Volume". This will erase the partition. Once you have done this, you must re-create the partition. This is done by right clicking on an unallocated region of a disk, and selecting "Create Partition". Then click "Create Logical Drive". Bear in mind that Windows cannot format a FAT32 partition that is any larger than 32GB. This is the case because FAT32 is terribly inefficient on volumes that are larger than 32GB: fragmentation becomes a serious problem.
To format this new volume, right click it, and choose Format. Again, if the volume you wish to format is larger than 32GB, FAT32 will not be one of the options available to you in the drop-down box. You will have to create multiple partitions if you want to format a large drive as FAT32.

                Use SwissKinfe

If you use SwissKnife it alows you to make Partitions bigger than 32Gb.

what I meant by run in compatability mode is that swissknife doesn't work with Vista, but will if you run it in compatability mode.

Go to the folder where the program is installed (prob c>Swisnife
                      Right click on Swisnife.exe
                      Click the Compatability tab
Check the run in compatability mode box and select Windows XP SP2 from the menu
Check the run as administrator box

                      and then that should work

I have a 500GB external Hard drive and I was able to format that into a single FAT32 partition with Swissknife.

Some others who's drives are powered through th USB (i.e. doesn't have it's own external power supply, mine does) have had trouble with 500GB partitions but have had sucess with 2 250GB partitions.

Make sure you mark the partition as active when you format it otherwise the ex7000 won't recognise it
