    download cdf file

hi i have a eurovox ex5100 pvr someone flashed the box for me. i have scanned the channels in and got rid of all the double and treble channels etc. can i now save the channels i am left with to a cdf file and how do i do it step by step if someone can help please. its a bit daunting to actually do it the first time. i think i now have the right cables but i do not want to lose the channels i have put in place. i have downloaded a vm cdf file for my area without ~~~~ but have not had the faith to do anything yet. can i add these if i want manually without getting all the other channels uploaded. thanks to everyone

Hi, if you already have your channels sorted to your preference and you want to save them to your pc better to use Voxer. It a small programme that you can use to edit and save your CDF.

You will find it here Digital Kaos - Downloads - voxer eurovox 1 . 2 installers the help file with the application will help you out, but its easy enough. However if you have a prolem please post back.

You do not need to download some other person's CDF as you have already sorted your CDF. Regards the ~~~~ channels, you can delete or lock them, but if you scan to update channels they will come back, even if deleted or not contained in your CDF.

Agree about the help on forums here, needed some firmware and just a pointing in the right direction on an ex5100 found it easy on here.

thanks but i could not put to com 3 said it was used by something else. tried com 2 set on device manager and at other end on volex com2. still did not see eurovox. i purchased cheap cables on e bay. i dont know if its the cables but i think it is a combination of vista which i have and the driver software which said it was compatible to vista but i think that is questionable. i decided after hrs of farting about pc crashing etc to dig an old computer desktop out rigged it up put the serial com cable in and it worked in 30 secs. this pc has xp also i am not using a usb to serial db9 adapter. thank you. i have another question in the volex programe can you take any info from one cdf file and copy and paste it in another cdf file to make a new cdf file. is that possible

forget about that volex question .i just thought it might have been easier than organising your channels on the eurovox and then saving the file . but its not. i like the volex file as you can make a print of of the channels. once again thanks for everyones help
