Did you try it with the cable as I said?. I don't believe that flashing the box can cause hardware to fail. What did he reckon had blown?.

Thats now the problem, I did told my father i need just 1 d*mn attempt on it, and if it doesn't work after that then you can do whatever, but he was just being stubborn and got someone to look at it, and quite frankly, i think that engineer is ch*tting crap, because even i don't believe it could've caused a practical fault in the box itself, and that cable i ordered one and it was coming in 1-2 days, and so i'm also p*ssed, because now i don't have a box to try it on. I wasn't able to chat to the engineer, as i was knocked out at the time. But i bet he's just a crook, looking for bare money to fix a minor problem.

(P.S i was seriously, actually going to try that RF Cable, but its just my luck that all this c*ap had to happen suddenly).

The guy is talking shite, I have seen this problem loads of times and doing what I said usually sorts the problem. Oh well let your dad pay some puppet to ~~~~ around with the internals for no reason and probably make it worse.

Yep i guess shite it is, and most likely if i get it back, it's probably going to have been fixed. But damn the price is going to be a bit high, and i'm not sure but i think its the same engineer who fitted the chip/splitters or whatever needs to be done to find all the channels. I hope he does give it back saying that he couldn't do shit all. By the way the above method, how does that help the fact that the green standby light does not come on, can this only be due to a faulty part, or could it have been fixed with a factory reset?

Cant remember maybe its lock on channel once scanned in either way the fix will work if you get it back in 1 piece.

Recieved the box back, and im not sure what the dude did but its working now, green lights back on too...

Probably came in here for the answer , at least your sorted although your Dad will have to pay for it .

Next time mate tell your Dad to take notice as what was said usually works.

Lol!, to be honest im not sure if he paid or not, but hey setted up working.. and im think it was probably a fried part, although i am confused but anyway, the channels are all uncategorised, and the remote isn't working, using a Eurovox max v Remote, and now the reciever doesnt detect it :|

So your remote isn't working now , you will have to send it back to the guy who fixed it.

I will check this topic again tmorrow, just want to resolve the remote issue... and at the moment im not thinking of downloading the backup CDF File, if i do manage to screw it up again, im done for, haha, Thanks for the support, well appreciated.

Listen mate with the greatest of respect I have given you all the help needed here and on another forum, I cant keep repeating myself to you, all you need to do is take notice of what I have told you to do, all he has done is put a CDF on your eurovox and not fixed the issue previous, do as said with the RF cable and it will be ok.

Back...

Recieved the box again, and everything seems fine now, channels are categorised, bit differently but never mind, and the remote works also.

I'm sure to come back if i have any problems later on.
