Newbie with Eurovox and Virgin Media Line

Hi, i have virgin media cable.

Would it be correct for me to say that if i bought the Eurovox EX5100 and re-flashed it with the latest firmware, then scanned for channels with it connected to my virgin media line, would i pick up all the channels for free? Is there anything else i need to do?

Hello, Thank you very much for that information, great help.

Theres one thing i cant find. i have bought the ex5100 without the hard drive, so which can i get that are compatible?

I know i need a 2.5" drive but does it have to be a certain size or can i stick a 60gb 2.5" in and work?

The Eurovox boxes only take the Seagate drives apparently due to their physical design and i think the max size is 120Gb..

@hiteck, you know i thought they did as well but one of our members who sells the things was saying they only take the seagate and gave a convincing case, sounded like he knew what he was on about... I though it was a bit shite if a box only takes one brand. You know more about these boxes than me bud so will roll with your knowledge on this one..

No thats no good, I have sent you the details of where to buy it from as advertising isn't allowed on here, you will have to either buy the one suggested or get the same else where.
