Have just registered on digital Kaos, seems to be the place to get help!
An a total newbie to all of this so please forgive me if any of this is v obvious. I'm looking at getting an ex7000, and just wanted to clarify a few things before I went ahead with it.
Firstly, what is the file format that the external Hard Drive needs to be formatted to for it to work properly? I gather that you can format it with the box, but am interested in getting it hooked to the PC after recording a film or something, and making a DVD from it. I picked up that you hav to simply change the file extention in windows, is this right? also on the EX5100 appartnely the HDD from that cannot be put to a PC, is this right?
Secondly, when you record something do you have to select it from the EPG (meaning you can only schedule things a few hours in advance) or can you just give it a date, time and channel and leave it?
