blame my parrot for this post i was in the process of writing it when he decided it was time to send it and jumped on the key board then while i was looking round i found what could be the answer to my problem i tried to delete it but was unable to for some reason

you think i was kidding dont ya i cant keep him off the dam key board when hes out so i have all sorts of things going on searches for this and that when hes stood on one key too long soon as im out of the room hes down on it he hasnt bought anything yet but hey there plenty of time yet
ok now back to the original problem i have looked throught the transponder posts and i still have no channels my eurovox pvr5000 has given up i have tried everything that has been suggested but everytime i scan it searches for channels then when it finishes the update screen is blank and if i press the red button to update it say" no transponder to update" is it my machine at fault or what , i have reconnected my original box and been onto virgin about the amount of channels i was getting with their own box(some were missing) and they sent a ping to update it so that i have all the channels i was entitled to i rescanned teh box again and still no channels anyone got any more ideas or do i just throw it away.

did you fac reset the box and select the correct symbol rate for your area m8 then try power scan.

this is were im lost im in darlington co durham and i dont know the symbol rate for my area there is one for teesside plus i wouldnt know where to put it if i did have one
so any help would be gratefull.

the 2 symbol rates i know of is 6.952 and 6.887 how i put in is press menu- user installation- code 0000 should be- power scan- you will then see where to put it this is for a eurovox blue then press ok

as gmb and alex say m8 highlight the correct sym rate in which your case is 6887 then power scan your box again .
let us know how you get on m8.

can anyone with the symble rate for wigan leigh area my eurovox ex 5100 got no channels at all but when i took it 4 miles awy its working fine can u help
