Eurovox 5000pvr stuck in reboot

I have the eurovox 5000 pvr, and it seams to be stuck in reboot ie. It keeps starting in standby then the four dashes rotate clockwise, this repeats over and over again. I have left it on for hours, unplugged it several time, but it is still in reboot. Can anyone help please.

Take the hard drive out leave it out and try again.
