Kryptview is working off N2 which is needed as the UPC dvrs are running N2 since last year.

All new cards are on N3, so when the DVRs also get N3 cards, they will switch if N2 and down goes the kryptview.

so why not go to N3 now instead of upgradeing to N2 ?

Forgive my ignorance on this, but would somebody mind explaining/heling me understand what's going on?

          I have a Eurovox SL1000 - I'm getting scrambled channels.

Nagra 2 is the encryption method?

C****s are moving to nagra 3 - which is why some of my channels have gone with them.

So - will my box support the nagra 3 encryption or am I looking at forking out for a new box?

Or have I got it all wrong?

I have replied to your other post over here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...rambled-35310/

The links above explain whats happening in Ireland at the moment. I do not think we need to add to them as of now with this thread.

I know and I'm sorry - although the information is in the links, I am trying to clarify what is happening since I don't fully understand all of the information - my post above is me trying to outline what I *think* the issue is and hoping for somebody to either confirm i'm on the right track or totally off.

Im in Cork(Ireland) and Today I lost a lot of UK channels (BBC1-News, UTV, Channel4, Sky one, two, Parmount) and on a rescan they just arent showing up anymore.

But the movies and sports, and all other channels are fine and unscrambled.

Anyone know if this is related?

I'm also in Cork, and all is well at present, including the channels that you mentioned above,
tho i have noticed that lately the picture is freezing for about 3 or 4 seconds
then it could be fine again for hours or it could freeze again within minutes.
It's very annoying when the football is on.

Seem to have picked back up mose of the channels again.

I think the problem was the frequency channel 394mhz is not working, and the auto scans werent going to frequencys past that.

Still missing paramount though... guess thats in the 394mhz range.

Sorry for the off topic but thanks for the help.

Itgate scans in freq's up to 444.000 and beyond.I think the last channel picked up is Mtvr on 450.000 but still the starview only picks up 160,Depends on what image your using and whether your xml's are up to date imo
