On average how often would you guys say i would have to update a eurovox box.

It seems that there have been a few threads on here about people needing updated codes etc after virgin media have changed them, so how often does this happen.

I wouldnt like to get a box only to be updating it every other day.

I have just noticed the newest firmware and something was mentioned about fixing rolling codes, has this got anything to do with the new codes?

The firmware auto updates the codes at the moment, no need to update them manually. Keys change about once a month normally.

So when these codes change is there usually another firmware update shortly after this? Or are you saying that the codes change about once a month but the firmware sorts it for you?

the firmware sorts it out for u m8, u only get new firmware if vm change their firmware, or if no new firmware is available u can enter keycodes till it is

Ah okay, so if the codes change what do you need to do to get access to your channels again? Is it a case of just turning it off then back on again or when you select a channel that needs a new code do you just have to wait?

And how long does it usually take for new firmware to be released after virgin change theirs?

Sorry for all the questions but I just want to be ready for when my box comes after virgin install my service next friday.

up to a week for firmware, u enter keycodes to get it running till then these u can get from here- google TCBcc toolbar or bigmaq toolbar download and install or keymaster u can get from dk

Hi, I have a eurovox ex1000sl box but after scan setup programmes are shown as scrambled, radio channels work fine. Any help much appreciated. Noticed in forum symbol rates where mentioned previously. Would changing these work. Thanks.

symbol rates r 6.887 or 6.952 if its a new box it will probably need new firmware read here- Eurovox and here- Digital Kaos - Downloads - Eurovox if u are in ireland i could be down to nag3 their new encryption and welcome 2 dk
