    lock and message light on vox2008

    Hi everyone
    Need some help plz

    The lock ( green light ) and message ( orange light ) are lite up when i plug it in, So it won't power up ..
    Tried the master reset button inside the box..

    Have you tried a reflash or is that not possible given its current state?

    It could be a faulty C14 capacitor on the PSU. BTW it is powering up if you can see the LEDs.

      Reflash nope not in its current state
      Replaced the c14 capacitor.

        Sounds like a dodgy PSU, do you have, (or know someone with) another Max V? If so try replacing the PSU and see how that works out.

        I am not going to recommend Jtag as I have seen this before and a Jtag will not connect in this state.

          Dont know anybody else with max v ..but i do have a red eurovox is it the same PSU??

            I havent checked but it should have the same outputs, so should work.

            You can compare outputs, you will see them marked on the board where the ribbon header is which then goes to the MB.

              Checked the outputs they look the same. So tried it, Still no joy it's still in the same state...
