EX5000 pvr maxV upgraded probems

My PVR has been acting strange since updating the firmware from Dec08 to the latest version with signal boost.
I lost all my stored movies and now it isn't recording. Should I just blow back in the Dec08 software or is there a rest I can do?
Any helpful suggestions appreciated.

The old adage, "why fix something when its not broken", applies here.

If the Dec firmware was working fine I would have left it as is. The latest firmware release has as you said the booster option applied, but if not needed it was of no value to you.

The latest firmware is also a clone killer, another thing to note.

Your problem may not be firmware related but it could be a HDD problem. Roll back as you said to the December firmware and see how it works out for a while.
