    EX5000PVR tuner fault?

    Hi all
I've had my Eurovox 5000 for around 6 months now, and once I got the hang of flashing it etc it has been fine with no apparent problems until a few weeks ago.
The picture started to break up and also the sound on all channels.
I checked the signal strength within the manual edit menu system and it shows around 80-90% (green) for almost all channels, but occasionally goes red and drops to about 6-10% for a split second.
This has now got worse to the point of all channels being pretty much unwatchable.
I have now reverted back to my VM box which is apparently fine.
Is this a signal issue (maybe the VM box buffers the signal better) or is it possible that the tuner in my EX5000 is dead? Hope not

    Thanks in advance guys,
    Ian.

Have you flashed your box with the lastest firmware 24_02_2009 , there is a signal booster under menu>Config>TV settings assuming that the signal is the problem.

Yes I put the latest firmware on about 6 weeks ago. The signal booster is enabled too, but I've also tried it with this disabled.
The signal quality and level are mostly ok but then intermittently drop and "go a bit bonkers". Sorry - thats not very technical but a good description!
Also, when the signal breaks up there is a message flashes up on the screen (while watching tv) saying bad quality or no signal.
Thanks for the reply tho - much appreciated.
