Hi all, I,ve just bought a eurovox ex5000PVR from a bloke in a pub for a very cheap price. It is secondhand and there are no instructions. I wasn't drunk but was I stupid? Anyway I connected it and managed to do a deep scan. I was getting lots of green bars showing 98% but so far I am unable to get any pictures or sound. since I haven't a clue what to do next, should I try to obtain the user manual and would the manual help? thanks for any suggestions.

Turn the box on and press menu, along to config, pull down to system info and press OK and tell us what it says in there before going any further.Comment

thanks to all of you who were so helpfull. I downloaded the user manual and found that I had made the elementary mistake of connecting my box wrong. I have now scanned again and all seems to be well. the only other thing I have found out so far is that my remote is the wrong one. The remote control was made for the eurovox unit without the hard drive, but it does operate my box (except for recording of course). once again, thank you for your help.Comment
