    Ex7000 HD Recording

Is there anyway to record from the box onto a vista pc using the usb link, or can it only be done with an external HDD formated to FAT32?

I think you would need to have a partitioned hard drive, and there is no guarantees it will work. The best thin to do is get a usb external harddrive, make sure it is not the mains powered ones, as I have had alot of problems with them because they go into standby mode which means when you press pause or record from the timer it doesnt work then resets your box. The Western Digital My Passport ext HD are the best. You can buy them from Ebay for around ?60

Thanks karlos m8, thing is I've got a few hard drives lying around and my PC takes upto 6 so I don't really want to pay for another HDD if I can get away with it. If I can get it so that i can record onto the PC, I'll post it here.

The drive must be formatted to FAT32 use the free application Swiss Knife to do the job and make sure you make the partition active
