Is this box true HD or is it just upscaled from SD to HD? Also, with the new firmware can you receive proper HD channels ie S*Y SPORTS 1 HD etc?

The box is true HD outputting at 1080i (max). The only HD channel it can get is BBC HD, that's because thats all the Virmin platform has at this time, more are rumoured to be coming soon. To get the programmes you're referring to you have no option but to subscribe to SKY HD -

Just to say I have been really impressed with the picture quality. Upscaled, so what! It is really good to watch. Only what your eyes can see and I see a really good quality picture. When I go to the BBC HD channel it is almost the same as the others. I only run through a Sony 720p as well.Comment

Does anyone have any idea if the Sky Sports HD channels will be available in this box anytime in the coming months?
I want to upgrade, but I basically only watch sport channels, ESPN HD and Eurosport HD will be great, but missing the SS channels would not be worth just yet.
Or is the Upscaling really that good, as someone mentioned above? I just have a Sony 720p 32" anyway.Comment

My experience, comparing my old Eurovox 2 to the 7000HD, is that the quality much better on all channels. Images are visible sharper (especially noticable on white text/images such as the score when watching cricket on SS) and I think they are less blurry too. This is on my Panasonic 32" screen (1080i I think).
