Thinking of getting one of these, what are peoples opinions of them?

Its a great box m8 but there aint many HD channels at the moment...

If its ya first box i wud suggest the new KRYPTVIEW A750 i fink its a great box.....

but like all other boxes they are good in there own ways

ive got a couple of these boxes and theyre definitely worth the money mate they are an hd decoder and virgin have promised more hd channels but what they do is upscale the picture nearly as well as v+ box i know cos i have one too id buy it i had kryptviewa700 and a750 and pictures nowhere near as good as this box, ive had it since march and am pleased with it just needs betters firmware in it.

the epg on the hd box is crap

and thats being polite needs an epg that works more than 24 hours and overhaul as well as putting channels in the vm order and pvr software is crap too but itll be a great box soon as they sort

people who are banking on more hd channels being broadcast in a way that we could view them,,this is not guaranteed,, could end up being very dissapointed.

had my ex7000 3 days now and i am still amazed how much better the picture quality is thanks to the upscaler. only one true hd channel available at mo though. i will be getting a ps3 soon just 4 the blu-ray facility, happy days!!!

Does this come with a PVR? If so is it twin tuner?

I currently own a D-BOX but looking to upgrade!

No mate Its is a single tuner. You connect a hard drive via usb for recording.

make sure the connections you need are found on the hd box you want!!,,,

the 800 does not have the connections for a stb,,

So basically what are we saying?
Is the ex7000 a better output picture quality (excluding HD channels) better than a 5100PVR?

And if so how much more?

If I swap over from a 5100pvr to a 7000, using quality equipment, surely if the difference is down to 'opinion', then the difference must be negligable! Sorry, but the last answer just doesn't hold water.
