    Eurovox max advice

Good evening everyone.I am new to the site so please be gentle with me!
I have been given a eurovox max box and am basically trying to get it up and running. The led screen is showing 0000 and when i try to scan the message "no transponder to scan" is showing up.
Could anyone please give me the help and advice that I need to sort this thing out or am I sailing into the wind here?
Cheers and thank you in anticipation.

Hello m8, You need to update the box with the latest softwa*e for your model of box.
Go to the top of the main home page and click on the "downloads" tab. Then choose the Eurovox section and then find the software for your box.
Make sure you download the correct software for your box as there are several models of eurovox.
Everything you need is there including "how to".

            Thanks for the advice people

haven,t got round to it yet because of work etc but just one more question if possible. How to I tell what type of eurovox it is? I have been reading about clones and different firmware so am a bit confused. Like I said earlier eurovox is completely new to me and I was given this one to try and sort out.I just don,t want to put the wrong firmware in and finish it off altogether! Any further advice would be much appreciated.

                      LOOKS LIKE ITS A CLONE

Well after eventually sussing this box out it is almost certainly a clone. The question is now though is can i still find new firmware for a clone?Any help would be appreciated.

                        Yet more problems

I have managed to sort the box out and found all the channels. The problem is that on most of the channels it is showing the message "please wait, code being updated". This message has been on the screen for ages.Is their anythuing else I need to do?

you best to scan without splitters, straight from main cable then put on sly1 to update. when thta opens the others usually do

                            CHEERS FOR THAT MATE

I went back in and checked the codes and they were all set to zero. After putting in the correct codes all is well. The next question is will it update itself when the codes are scrambled or am I looking at new firmware? Getting there slowly but surely!!!

It wont auto update the codes unless you have used the latest firmware. Are you sure its a clone Max V?
