    getting channels

    hey can anyone tell me if i can just get a box and plug it into my
    existing cable connection that my broadband comes through and get tv channels. cheers

    No m8 you will not be able to do that.
    The process of getting all the available channels is very simple tho.
    When you buy a box, you will have to update the softwa*e then scan for channels and then enjoy

    Read through the STICKY section, it explains in detail what you have to do.

    Don't be afraid of softwa*e updates, its easy and simple and if you've done your homework, will only take about 10/15 minutes.

    And there is always some one here who will help you if you get stuck.

      cheers for the reply i should have explained it better i mean if i don,t have any tv channels at the minute with my broadband provider just the broadband. i do understand about firmware and stuff.

        If you only have Virg*n Med*a broadband then YES, you can still get all the cable tv channels available in your area.
        All you have to do is buy a splitter and split the incoming cable, one to the BB and one to you box and your away!
        Cable TV and BB is sent down the same line.
