i recently purchased my ex7000 hd, i flashed it with tutorial. thnx to everyone. when i try to change the favourites it doesnt realy allow me to. the flash put some channels in favourites but alot of the channels were duplicated so i started to delete and add some and just rearange them. when i get upto like favourite 5 it duplicates favourite 4 onto favourite 6 and favourite 5 just disapears. its confusing as that.
i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to resolve it. is it becuase of the flash? any help would be realy apreciated thankyou.

I'm fairly new to cable and bought my 7000HD about a month ago. It's pretty temperamental and needs to be re-scanned every 2 or 3 weeks (even after the re-flash) but this only takes about 20 minutes so is worth the aggro. Here's my routine:

1 - Do a FACTORY RESET
2 - Press EZ INSTALL for a 6-step scan
3 - Save when prompted
4 - Press MENU and tab across to FAV SET-UP

You'll now see a full list with paperclips on right. Step thru', channel by channel, and change FAV's with number keys.
When all OK, go into FAV MANAGER and rename groups. Save when done, all should be fine.... for the time being. I found uploading files to USB stick ineffective, so just do the above each time I lose channels. Hope this helps. One last thing: channels such as BBC 3 and 4 cannot be scanned until after 7pm.
