    not able to flash 5100 pvr

    I have bought a new 5100 pvr. and tried to flash it with the software dated 16_01_2009 from this site. but it doesnt work properly. first time I did it took me directly to writing xx% screen.. and than stopped in between. I tried many time but it either start on writing screen or just show me sending 0% and doesnt do anything or proceed after that.

    could some one help please.

      When you start the download did you have the box ON or OFF?
      Do a clear data/factory reset and try the download again.
      Try doing it with the box turned OFF and when it says "waiting for respond from receiver" then turn it ON.

      When you start the download, what does it say on the box LCD?

          according to your profile rig you havnt downloaded anything from this site yet, are you sure you got it here? maybe you need to do abit of reading about flashing the box in the eurovox section first then if you dont understamd post a question

                  Hi badapple,

                  I tried the way you told me... actually it directly goes to the writing xx% step. and than says its successful. when receiver starts up it shows me 12:00 on LCD. yesterday while trying it showed me dnld as well but downloading didnt start as it remains at 0%.

                  and yes I have downloaded the firmware from this site only. I was using a different profile before than changed to this one.

                      elementary DrW-----190 but would have had to in the Ateam to work out multiple profiles

                          I chose 2nd profile because I thought my first profile id was more of revealing my identity. sorry for that... as I will be using this profile only.
