    manual channel scan?

    Hi peeps,
Yesterday a couple of channels like Sky 1 and B4U music have gone blank on my eurovox 2006. I want to try and rescan for just these channels without affecting any of the other channels. ive never scanned before as i purchased it second hand with channels loaded. ive sorted all the channel list according to my favorites manually which took me a while. I want to scan for the couple of blank channels as this might get them to work again. how would i do this without having to scan for all the channels and by not messing up the way i have arranged the full channel list???

    any help appreciated

its always a good idea to save a channel data file first just in case the proverbial hits the fan

Menu / Installation / Fast Install and press OK (enter pin)
Now press the red button on the remote for advanced install
Scroll down the options and turn Fav Sort off
Press EXITon the remote control not OK and the frequency screen appears (if you press OK all your channel order will get sorted back to the default order)
Scroll to the frequency with the channels you want to update
Press OK on remote this will put a tick next to the frequency
Press the Blue Button on the remote to do a manual scan of that frequency
or if you want to update all frequencies press the red button to update all channels

Cheers Smoggy, I thought it would be a good idea to search the forum before establishing a new topic, i will give this a try .

      Update:

First of all the channels which i am currently missing are B4U Music + Movies, ARY Digital, and Trouble. I have tried autoscan, and manual scan on selected frequencies in order to refresh the frequencies as updates have obviously occured. Upon doing so, B4U Music and the other stated channels still get the Service Unknown . Now, one thing which i observed was, when the auto scan was taking place, and the current frequency was within the "400.00 MHz" range, i noticed that B4U Movies came up in the big list where the channels scroll down as they are found. When the auto scan was complete, the problem was not recified however the old frequencies that the blank channels were previously on are still the same. Should this be the case as i noticed the channels come up within the autoscan list but on a different frequency (4**.00Mhz)?

Also i am going to take the time to clear all the channels (I have my backup channel data file stored onto my PC). and then try to re-scan the channels. If i succesfully find the missing channels and they are working, with the correct frequencies, is there anyway i can edit my channel data file(After making a copy from my backup), so the channels are assigned to their new frequency?

(Excuse the lengthy post, i just thought it would be benificial if someone else were reading this and had a similar issue, and it may be easier for one of the experts here at DK to assist in solving my issue)

Didn't work to well, so i reset my box back to factory default settings, scanned the channels, and to my suprise the missing channels returned along with some extra channels i.e comedy central. So i just categorized all the channels and saved a back up CDF on PC. I hope it stays alright for some time now..
