Completely new to this no knowledge

Hi

I am new to this site plus new to cable boxes and what to do.

I have bought myself an Eurovox EX5100 PVR with no software on it at all.

What would you advise I load on it?

I have read quite a few of the posts so far but I am nervous as to what to do as, as I said I'm new. I have read and hopefully understood that firmware is the way to go for the most channels but don't understand the flash bit???

Any help would be appreciated please
