Hi all I have tried searching for the problem I have on this thread but I cannot find an answer.
The problem I have is I have a Eurovox PVR 5000 where no display comes up, the hard drive I can hear turns so it does have power, I have turned the pvr off from the switch at the back for a few days and still no display on the tv or the box its self but I can hear the hard drive turn.
I have also unpugged the hard drive still no life with the display.
I have opened the pvr box and pressed the reset button on the circuit board still no joy.
I brought a jtag kit and plugged it in to my pvr ran Skymax I get Idcode FFFFFFFF Fail DCU please restart or reset cpu box.
I have turned the pvr on and off and no joy, on some threads I have read about the C14 capacitor on the circuit board, on the pvr model 5000 this is a green cap but looks nothing like the traditional round caps, but i do see 4 capacitors C8,C9,C10 and C33 that are 1000uf 10v. They are not boldging outword the top of them look the same as the other value of capacitors around the circuit board.
Does anyone know if it may be these 4 1000uf caps that may need changing as I have no display on the front of my pvr i guesss its a power problem but my hard drive is getting power but then again i know there are different voltages that run the pvr.
Anyone that may know what my problem is could you please tell me? thanks in advance.
