I am using a real null modem cable?

I am using a USB to 9 pin male adapter, with a 9 pin female (at both ends) cable. They said at cable star this was a null modem cable, and could be used for flashing. Is it not the right cable to flash a eurovox, coz i keep getting "dowloading is failed.." after 90secs. Can anyone help coz if i didnt have any bad luck, i wouldnt have any luck at all!

I have to use this coz i have a laptop with no com port.

Have you loaded the driver that can with the usb to rs232 cable. See GUIDE: Cables Required for Flashing a Eurovox by Satsmo. All the info you need is here. Its a great site.
