Eurovox ex5000pvr (real Blue box) Need Help Please.

I got the eurovox the other day. Its a real bluebox, acording to the guides. After having problems with a USB-rs232 apater, I managed to get my hands on a PC with a com port.

The cable seems fine as the software was detected, It said sending, and the box said "dnld".

But when it gets to the writing part, it says dowload is failed... on 90 seconds. (i have waited a while as someone suggested, but still same). The standby light flashes on and off, and the lines just spin around.

Now the box doesnt display any numbers, the lines just spin around, like there is no flash on. The bin file i got said it was clone safe. But mine is not a clone, so is this the wrong file (even tho it doesnt say wrong firmware detected)?

Everthing seems ok. Im sending off for another cable tho, in case its not a crossover. (but would it send it anyway with a straight thru cable?

Can anyone please help me, coz its doing my head in now.
