eurovox max v signal keeps dropping

Hi There I have had my eurovox max v for 8months now with nothig but trouble. I have recently taken basic package from provider in the hope this would fix the problem. The siganal seems to go to 85% then drop right down all the time. I have had a friend test my box at his house with no problems. I had flashed it several times. I have tried signal boosters everything. It is about to go in the bin.

    PLEASE HELP

Had this problem myself for months, vi***n are changing freq's and upgrading, bare with it not long now before they finish, nothing you can do to stop it, sometimes it works, sometimes not. Just connect your sub box and take a look at the flashing green light, that is the new software being pumped into the box to stop it affacting the original box signal. Its happ'nin all over, and you will lose channels as well, just update to get them back. If you want to see whats happening just go into menu, user installation and flick through the transponders you will see the drop out, any channels on the freq will be affected. the only thing that can help a little is a variable attenuator and drop the signal down to 73% or until it stops.
            Keep calm carry on.

I bought an attenuator 6db but still having the same trouble. I have only had web and phone from provider for 6months and they have put a sml box on the wall where it comes into house, before the splitter. Just wondered if this could be the problem.
