    prob with a ex5000 pvr

    I have a box that went dead on me,jtagged back to life and flashed with dark x scans fine but after a while if you change channel it freezes and goes back to blank display and screen leaving it needing jtag again.
    Any advise would be welcomed. Thanks in advance

      what firmware are you reflashing with you say dark x but what1 if it is the nosort that is what probably killed it in the first place.

          Hi Chic i'm using the ex5000pvr tsop first then i'm flashing the dark x auto sort enabled 24/02/09 version. works fine, it scans perfect but if you turn chan over after a while the video freezes but audio is still available.then when you turn it off to reboot its a dead display and picture again so you have to jtag again to bring back.
          I tell you m8 it's doing my head in but i don't want to let it beat me...

              thats the spirit, that may well be my tsop if it is then it works fine try using a earlier firmware

                  Sorted Chic i think used your tsop flashed with the old 01/12/08 seems good at the mo,i'm going to turn off and switch back on in the morning and see,

                      i just been reading your quotes. my box done the same and i can't switch it on. just the standby light comes on. i think it needs jtagging. as i put the same software on as the other guy you was talking to to but mine was the autosort 24/2/09. can you help in anyway of how i jtagg my box. i would be ever so grateful. thanks

                          M8 there is a guide on how to jtag in the Eurovox and guides section. Have a read of that and u should be ok.
