help needed

hi all
i have just set up eurovox max blue a second hand model and followed the instructions and done the power scan it seemed to find the channels no problem but for the last 15 minutes it has been on channel 3 with a blue info box saying please wait code being updated is it doing an auto update of some kind? the previous owner said they never updated the box . i cannot open the link in the forum to find out if box is a clone can anyone tell me what to look for? also if i do have to load new software/firmware do i need some kind of boxloader?

try doing a power scan again, VM have been messing around with the settings of channels the last few days, i used to have a max v and it did get stuck sometimes, just do a power scan again see if that works mate

If you r not sure if the box is a clone or not use this softwa*e to be on the safe side

Before scanning do a factory resat and use the correct symbol rate fo your area.

thanks for the reply but every time i've clicked this link i get internet explorer cannot display the webpage, can somebody tell me if i ever get round to needing to load software is there some kind of box loader i will need?

getting nowhere

i've managed to find a loader for the clone firmware but where do i find the firmware for the clone and how do i save it and how do i then load it to the box,i can see a tutorial on loading the genuine firmware but not on loading a clone. as you probably can tell i dont have a clue as its all new to me sorry.

thanks for replying,i think i have downloaded (to my desktop) that file but i dont know how to open it in the loader or how to load it to the box also i my computer is in another room to the box is it essential for box to be connected to the cable/tv for it to be flashed?

you need a null modem cable m8

just regular fta channels but green colours

well i think i managed to load firmware when i connected the box i got firmware download version 1.00 it then downloaded and then wrote info after that it said firstly download failed then it said download succesful,i have just connected it back to tv but i'm only getting fta channels and the colours are mostly green so i have set up another powerscan can anyone tell me what i have done wrong?

wot symble rate you on it's either 6952 or 6887
as for green screen your scart lead may need connecting properly

powerscan finished and all seems to be fine in full colour also, so can i just thank everyone for putting up with all my questions and mostly all the valuable help.
