Thanks for that. I have installed that but still can't open the file.

Am i right in saying i need to open the file to the download stage or is there something else i,m missing??

its a tool to open files you downloaded in rar format, you wont get any further until you download winrar google it, its free

double click on the folder you have downloaded and it will open then click the top download button

the file you downloaded from here looks like a pile of books, right click on it and select extract here then you will have the file that you need to flash the box

how did u get on ; control panel-hardware & sounds-device manager-click ports & coms-double left click prolific USB-TO COM PORT THIS WILL OPEN PROPERTIES-CLICK ON PORT SETTINGS-CLICK ON ADVANCED-THEN SET THE COM PORT DESIRED IN THE BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER-IF IT SAIS COM PORT 1,2,3,4, IN USE, SELECT ONE ANYWAY AND OKAY OKAY....THIS IS HOW TO ASSIGN COM PORT;;;;

Still hitting a wall here. Been to work and someone, who knows a bit more than me, said it sounds like the computer doesnt recognise that the programme needs to be sent to the USB port, if that makes sense? Have tried to go through the correction advice again but still no joy.
