    Eurovox Ex1000SL won't flash

I have just acquired a new eurovox ex1000sl from eurovox.org and attempted to set it up after flashing with the UFL_EX1000SL_v1-0_DarX firmware. I followed the instructions in Hiteck's flashing instructions. As i had the null cable there was no problem detecting the port and downloading and installing the firmware. When completed i followed the instruction in the Hitecks scanning guide The box came with a null cable which my PC detected. I completed the full scan and over 700 tv and radio stations were detected (I live in Londons, Camden area).

When attempting to connect to a channel i get the "Please wait, code being updated.." message. I waited for all of 10 hours when i fell asleep but woke up to the same message. I flashed on 3 more occassion to no avail. I also read something about reseting the button on the motherboard. I've tried that twice and reflashed. No difference.

    The system config states:

    Model DVB-XC BoxS TDA
    S/W Ver 1.0 ST4 Aug 22 2008
    H/W Ver 2.0tS
    Bootstrap v001
    S/W Build Kuro

Clearly the firmware is not upgrading even though it states that it is completed with no error message. I've also read the thread about flashing problems however i don't think the situation is the same as i have no problem detecting the com port. Is there something obvious i have missed as I don't particularly want to do down the inputting codes route.

I was trying to avoid buying a clone by using what i hope is a legitimate site. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow, almost as soon as i had uploaded my post i came across a thread in which HiTeck suggested using another firmware fix . I can now see all the channels. Thanks HiTeck. Btw, would i still need to attempt to upload the DarX firmware?

Losing my channels on eurovox ex1000sl

It appears that for a week or so i have lost some channels. Whereas previously i had 257 i know appear to have lost M*TV and several V1rg*n channels.

In order to restore i downloaded and flashed the DarX firmware dated 24-02-09 but this has'nt restored the channels (This firmware has'nt worked for me when i first bought the box). I am currently using UK Max V Autosort Fix 051208

      Does anyone have any ideas.

Funny, i forgot that part. I've just rescanned and come up with several channels i did'nt have before> I'll have to go through it and find out if the missing channels have resurfaced. Thanks

Initially, that was the only one that worked. I am now running the DarX firmware
