clarification for eurovox ex700 needed

Hi Please help i am still using old pace ntl box but contemplating the eurovox ex7000, been reading alot of posts and the more i read the more i am getting confused.
i understand that i will have to load the latest firmware to get the box working. is it really as simple as that as i also have seen threads and post regarding members enquiring about latest codes.
please clarify what is the required

U will have to load the latest softwa*e on the box to get all the channels, Once the softwa*e has been loaded successfuly, u will not need to input codes manually as it will auto update them.
Remember only one HD channel at the moment, so is worth the money?

as badapple has said but get yourself a good tv mag as the epg is mince

Got one of these box's the other day , and i'm realy impressed the picture is realy good on sd and brill on the one hd channel as for the epg it is a bit hit and miss . also it is easy to set up all u need is a usb pen and the latest fw, it is meant to be getting more hd later this year.
