    Eurovox flashing

    Hi all,

i have been following the comprehensive instructions of one of your guests re. eurovox flashing.

The problem is that while on the initial firmware download screen the the message 'waiting for the response of your reciever' appears and doesn't seem to progress from there.

Everything apppearsto be connected properly and I have turned the reciever on and off several times.

If anyone has any ideas thhey would be gratefully recieved.

    Thanks

i know its really easy to miss the entire section under cable boxes entitled EUROVOX so i guess i'll just post a direct link to it for those of us whom dont hold an eductation above a common retard.

Are you using a USB adaptor to connect the Null Modem cable from the box to the PC - if so make sure you have the latest "Drivers" for the USB adaptor.

If not using an adaptor are you sure it's a "NULL MODEM" cable with the TX & RX pins reversed.

Both of the above will give your message as the PC cannot see the box.

hi mate that normally indicates your comports are not set correct,ie loader and com port must use the same com number. ie..if loaders set to com 1 then adapter in device manager must be set to com one,and also the driver for adapter must be installed. good luck

                  Thanks for your comment HiTec.
Was considering saying something but as Chroma is a senior member than me, i left it!

I would find a comment like that really offensive, especially if I have just joined a new forum.
