Yeah it seemed to fully fit the connectors all the way, although it's a samsung harddrive i have purchased. Wouldn't have thought it would make a difference as it fitted.

          PVR HELP!

          Hi All

This is my first post, and no doubt you have heard this all before but here it goes..........

I have had the same problem regarding my HDD for my Eurovox 5100 pvr.

I have the WD 120gb and when you insert the drive you can hear it click into place no problem and it seems to enage fine. You can alsohear the drive 'warming up' as such, but i get the same annoying message 'hard drive full or not installed' when i try to record.

Could it be that the connector pins on the HD may not all be connecting properly, is there a way of seeing the pins connect to the box, like say a grill under the box?

I have no probs with the channels, i just can't record...really annoying!

If the box eventually records, does it take a while or is it instantly?

Any knowledge would be much appreciated, Thanks.

          Doorzy.

Its a common problem. Press the record button and then go into PVR manager and check to see that it has in fact recorded something.

Other than that a factory reset will usually sort it.

Do you suggest i do a factory reset without the card inserted, then do a power scan, then try to record and check in pvr manager?

From that, if the 'hardrive full' message appears when pressing record could it still be recording or may it stall for a few moments and then record?

If that is successful will it just show the file in the PVR manager list?

Hi, as Satsmo said, just press record the first time and then let it run for a minute or two, then stop it and go into the recording to see if it shoes up. Do not delete the bit of rubbish you have recorded, then it should record ok in future.

                  EX5100 PVR "H-Drive full"

Hi, I had this fault show up. Go into menu--Installations--Timer settings--scroll down to start time (time of day showing) set a time to start --down to end time, set a time--down to channel, press OK, use fav or scroll to selected channel. green button to save & exit. Once the recordings done the H-Drive is formatted. This worked for me.
