    is it worth the xtra money 4 the hd box
    i know its a daft question but where is the best place 2 buy 1

    the DM800 can even play movies to mkv and record in HD.

      only one channel on VM at the moment.. BBC HD..
      VM are changing encryption soon so i'd hold off for a bit

        They are changing the encryption? Is this a fact or theory? I think we all keep hearing so many different things and as a result have no idea what to believe, but as you are a well known user I was just curious if you have anymore details on this?

          Hi i,ve just got the ex 7000 and its better than the VM box and the VM HD box as the upscaler gives a better picture than before, Whats this about encryption changes tho? Have i just blown all my cash?....

              This is a fact in Ireland. Euros have gone off due to the changes and no fix yet. But for the UK, mabey,could be, perhaps,U never know, lets just wait and see...

                Thanks for the response. Yeah heard about ireland which is a shame, hope they get a fix soon.

                I kinda got the idea that this is something of an unknown issue (will they won't they) but reading the comment by "opsmonkey" made me wonder if this had been confirmed somewhere?

                If Virgin do update to Nagra 2 or 3 what can we expect to happen from virgins side? Card and or box changes, updates through the network or nothing at all?
