is it worht fashing a old eurovox red in dublin??

hi guys im looking to get info on flashing a eurovox red. But before i get all the cables ive been thinking of getting rid of it and get a starview 4 as im told there still picking up everything in ireland. i know when i flash the eurovox it should work, but am i pissin against the wind if it wont crack the new nagra?? help or advice would be a great help...
