    Eurovox EX1000 SL ITV+ channel 4

    Hi All,

Abount 1 week ago I had to do a rescan as I woke up one moring and QVC was scrambled ! Happy days for me but the misses was not too pleased...!!

Done a deep scan and all was good again..OR so I thought..

Itv and ch4 are breaking up constantly with loss of picture at it's worst / also plus sound breakup..

Connected the EX1000 SL direct to the cable no splitter and done a factory reset + another deep scan and still the same breakup/no picture but for these 2 channels..

So far checked all connections / scart lead etc.. I have the latest formware with autosort but still no joy.. The signal for ITV + ch4 are both very poor compared to the other channels..

When I conect the original virgin box all chanels are fine incl. itv+ch4 with no picture breakups/funny sound..

If I reflash with the not sorted firmware will this make a difference ? If so do I just write the new firmware over the top of the sorted version I already have ? Plus will then do another factory reset + deep scan...

Thanks in advance for any help/advice as it's driving me nuts...

the new firmware will automatically erase the old firmware, but remember to delete all channel data and do a foctory restore through the menu system before you download the new firmware. if problem still persists try backdating to an older firmware from the download section.

Is it critical to erase channel data and a factory restore prior to the reflash ? I though I connect to the PC save the cdf file, then flash with the not autosort firmware and then reinstall the cdf file.. ?? If I connect after channel erase and then a restore it would be pointless saving the cdf file ??

Can anyone confirm if this is correct, do not want to mess this up.. Could not see anything in the guide on channel erase plus factory resore prior to reflash !

      Cheers..
