Problems tuning on an EX1000 SL

I have just received my EX1000 SL box and cannot tune any channels in. I know that I am receiving a signal because my other virgin box displays. I access the menu, select installation fast install and use 6887 for NTL. after about 30 minutes and a complete scan of 770, no channels are stored. I have tried 6952, and one other pre-stored on the box without success. The box provider (fleebay) has offered me a refund but would re-installing the software help? and how do I know if i have an original or clone box??

before u scan try doing a factory reset, also you must do a power scan by entering user installation, code 0000 then select blue button for power scan. hope this works

I have factory restored eact time without success!! any suggestions?

you will need to get into system info and check the date of firmware on the box then you will know if its upto date or not

this latest firmware Digital Kaos - Downloads - UFL_EX1000SL_24-02-09_DarX also dated 24.2.09 so looks to me like it already on latest but i would do a reflash anyway

No luck, after re-flash same problem, tried to intsall at a friends house who also has Virgin / NTL on there free box, scans 770 but cannot store any, tried 6887 (NTL - which is what i receive), 6952 telewest (just in case) and one other on the box but would not register a single channel - I think time for a return and refund unless there are any other things to try??
