Hi and welcome to dk all good people on here as for your dilema i have both the ex5000pvr and the ex7000hd i mutch prefer the 7000 it has great picture quality but a crap epg but recording is instant but can take upto 30 sec for 5000 to start so you can miss the start of the prog.
