Eurovox Maxv 2008 New Flashing Help

Basically I got my box today and went about flashing it following guides from different threads on here but I dont seem to be getting anything.
I have checked too see if I have a clone and I dont think my box is a clone so the firware I downloaded should work but i get an error at the end saying download has failed. I have read that if you wait it changes or switch your box on and off to fix this but no luck.

When I connect my box up it seems to work fine with the fimrware even though it fails but when I do a scan I think I am finding channels but none of them seem to work once the scan is complete.

All tips and advice much appreciated thanks

reflash the box m8 then factory reset it then scan making sure you are using the correct symbol rate .

I have tried a couple of reflashes but still get the error saying downloading failed. I will give it anothe rgo and reset the factory settings. I think I am using the corret symbol rate, off top of my head its something like 6952 ? I will confirm this once I try again.

your symbolrate in the UK will be either 6887 or 6952 depending on who your original provider was.
your problem looks like you are not successfully flashing the firmware, but try a scan first to see how it goes

My firmware is still saying downloading failed and I have left it ages but it wont say complete! what is going wrong :*(

if you press menu and then the yellow button on the remote does a nagra edit screen pop up

also if you press menu/config/system information what does it say

It says failed after 90seconds so i think it is going on the box but after a scan nothing is found.

If i press yellow yes a magra edit does pop up

also my sys info is

Boxes are mainly delivered with only the free to air software on them so need flashing with the latest firmware

I live in oldham. Manchester would be the biggest town. Im am using 6.952 when scanning. I have just done a full scan now and fouond 38 radio channels i think but when i finish and try to view anything it stays on channel 0000 saying channel not available.

Im missing something just not sure what but I bet its something simple and obvious

I take it the cable is in the rf in socket.
connect box up directly to cable feed ie remove splitters etc. then do a factory default reset and full powerscan on 6952 step 8 from frequency 100 to 870 and see if you have any joy

I have just left A deep scan, ch num is on 0001 progress 752/770. It says tp : 078' does this mean it's found 78 channels?I think my box is buggerd. And there is no splitter on my line! Thanks

deep scan will just scan every frequency in steps of 1 from 0 to about 900

what was the result of the scan
