maybe daft question but can i buy second box and 3 way splitter have one downstairs and one upstairs and watch differrent channels at same time

you can do this easily but should keep a signal going to the original digital box so it can talk back to your cable provider, if they cant speak to their box they maybe get suspicious. the dodgy boxes of course cant talk to them
