    Cable feed query...

    Hi there,

Getting my Eurovox EX1000 SL delivered tomorrow, just a quick query though.

It comes with an F adaptor does this simply screw onto the cable feed I currently have going through into my NTL box? Or do I have to cut the wire etc as someone outlined to me on TechWatch ? Seemed a little strange, not quite the 'Plug and play' I was thinking .

The F adaptor just screws onto the cable feed and plugs directly into the eurovox simply right?

Cheers! Can't wait, will post my results tomorrow in regards to my installation - hope it goes swiftly.

U dont need to cut any cable or do anything complicated m8.
If u dont get a F connector with the box, u can just buy one from any DIY shop.
And yes it will just screws on to the existing connector.

Cheers buddy, I thought this was the case, I was in shock when he linked me to a site cutting up a wire .

The wire I've just looked at is white, and has like a weird edged end on it? Thats right, right ? :P

That is the correct connector you will have on your cable now.
With your new box, you should receive a F connector, which will simply screw on and fit onto your box. So nothing to worry about m8.

Another newbie question regarding the setup. Do you ever need those extra things (dont know the tech name) that reduces the dB on the line, or do they always work no matter the signal?
