Cheers fellas, got my ex1000 sl today, got it up and running within 30-40minutes, just sorted out all my channels.

Nice one buddy.

Now one of my very last few queries.... My old box.

Is it a must to connect this somewhere on another feed upstairs, I don't have a TV in that room though, so just plug the box inthe mains and in the cable feed.

Is it an absolute must? I'm sure most people with boxes, don't plug in their old one elsewhere, not all have 2 feeds/splitters...

Hello m8, i assume by that u mean the original Virg*n box.
The original box has "talk back" and sends a signal to say it is connected. Its better just to connect it to the line, so Virg*n knows its connected and wont get suspicious.
